The Southern Poverty Law Center tracks "hate groups" around the U.S. Here's link to a hate map they created, showing where these groups are active.

ReplyDeleteThe SPLC map is interesting -- perhaps you noticed that at first glance it appears there are 157 hate groups in one state. Zooming in sorts it out by states, but their totals don't add up.
Thanks for this feedback, Barbara. I think this drawing emerged out of the general zeitgeist of recent times. I felt guilty for portraying a chicken in this light. It is weird that the numbers don't add up on the SPLC map. It's also sad that such a map should even exist.
