Building a Better World

This drawing for Rutgers Magazine is geared towards philanthropic-leaning alumni. It accompanies an article about the International Day of Giving, which lands on December 1st, 2015. Alumni are encouraged to give to many worthy causes - including worthy medical and scientific research projects being conducted by Rutgers University.  Below are a few of the sketches I submitted for this story.

Thanks to art director Michelle Cody for another rewarding assignment!

Currency Quiz

This piece in today's Wall Street Journal accompanies a quiz about how international currencies affect your investments. Many mutual funds are invested in foreign currencies - all of which have different strengths when weighed against the US dollar. As an investor, it's important to understand how these various currencies can affect the value of your mutual funds. Thanks to Orlie Kraus and Sheryl Dermawan for helping me find the right balance in this fun assignment!

Thanks for viewing. You can see more color illustrations right here.

Alphabet Soup of Advice

This portrait of our first president accompanied an article in today's Wall Street Journal. There are many kinds of financial advisers offering services to investors: CFA's, CPA's , RIA's etc. This article explains what these acronyms stand for (example: CFA = Certified Financial Adviser), and what the people behind these titles are trained to do. It's a helpful guide for investors to find the right match. I thought it would be fun to show George Washington sampling an 'alphabet soup' of acronyms. Thanks to art director Orlie Kraus for this tasty assignment!
