Isabella

I have the good fortune of teaching a figure drawing class at Atwater Gallery in Rhinebeck NY. It's a joy to make learning how to draw fun for my students. Half of that goal is accomplished simply having by great models. During a recent class, I took out a few minutes from instruction to draw Isabella, a classic beauty who reminded me of the athleticism of Artemis, as well as the natural beauty of Athena.

For locals interested in improving their drawing skills, here's more info about my class.

Works on Paper Opening

I had a wonderful time attending the Works on Paper opening on Saturday evening - at the Atwater Gallery in Rhinebeck NY. Over thirty talented arts were represented in this show, which is up until February 13th. I revieved great feedback for my Flounder drawing, which was drawn on butcher paper. If you're in the area, I hope you'll take a peek at this fun exhibit.

Works on Paper Exhibit

I'm thrilled to be displaying this piece in the upcoming Works on Paper exhibit, at the Atwater Gallery, Rhinebeck NY. This group show's opening is Saturday, January 18th (5 - 8 pm). If you live in the area, please stop in for a glass of wine - and say hello!

I had fun building this shadowbox for the drawing , which doubles as a very shallow aquarium.

Atwater Gallery Exhibit

I'm thrilled to be included in a group show at the Atwater gallery in Rhinebeck, N.Y.  The six pieces I submitted are part of a series called World Tour. The drawings were inspired by a dilapidated old atlas. You can read the story behind them here, or see the full collection here. This exhibit will be on display today through May 18th, 56 E. Market Street, Rhinebeck, NY.
