American Illustration Winners

Enormous thanks to the jury at American Illustration for recognizing these drawings.  It’s an honor to have portraits of Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar included in their archive.

Signed prints of these portraits are available in my Etsy shop, here and here.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg

Straight outta Brooklyn, it’s the Notorious RBG. This quiet supreme court justice makes all her noise with a brilliant legal mind. She is a true role model for both woman and for introverts.

Rutgers Line Drawings

I tend to spend a lot of mental energy coming up with clever concepts for illustration assignments. It was a nice change of pace to create these simple line drawings for my friends at Rutgers Magazine. They accompany four profiles of new faculty members - who specialize in everything from the study of Lyme Disease to feminism in Iraq. Thanks to art director John VanCleaf for this fun assignment.
