Taylor Swift

" But I, I was high in the sky, with Pennsylvania under me. "

These are lyrics from the song "Seven", from Taylor Swifts classic album, Folklore. This iconic singer-songwriter's persona seems to transcend all borders, but we all start off in a hometown. In her case, it was a farm in Reading, Pennsylvania. From there, she would go on to conquer the world with spectacular songwriting skills, and an enchanting voice. This drawing unfolded from the pages of an 1893 atlas a wonderful artist friend gave to me. More portraits to come soon!

Beyonce

I recently dug up an old page of sheet music at my local recycling center. After hearing her beautiful rendition of Ave Maria, I drew this portrait of Beyonce Knowles.

I Feel Pretty

This drawing was sparked by a piece of sheet music I found at my local recycling center. No doubt, West Side Story is one of the greatest musicals of time. This portrait portrays Maria (as played by Natalie Wood in the film version), who coveys this timeless song so beautifully. Dear viewer, I hope you're feeling pretty today:-)
