Small Works Show

 

I’m thrilled to have this tiny turtle drawing, measuring 5” by 7”, included in the juried Small Works show at @440gallery , 440 6th Ave, Brooklyn, NY. The opening is December 2, 4-6 PM. The borough of Brooklyn is a famous hotspot for groundbreaking indie-rock bands. In that spirit, here’s a portrait of Adrianne Lenker, singer and guitarist for Big Thief. I drew this while listening to their rewarding new Album, Dragon Warm Mountain I Believe in You.

Straight outta Brooklyn, it’s the Notorious RBG. This quiet supreme court justice makes all her noise with a brilliant legal mind. She is a true role model for both woman and for introverts.

Here's my charcoal portrait of boxer, Mike Tyson, one of the most complex characters to come out of Brooklyn. He's a combination of fierceness, sensitivity, intelligence, volatility and self-depreciating humor - all wrapped into one larger-than-life human being. Prints of this piece are available here!
